A great shoot can be undone in the edit, and a difficult shoot can be rescued there. Post is where the piece actually gets made, and it is worth treating as its own discipline rather than something bolted onto the end of a production day.

I take post-only work: you supply the footage, I deliver a finished film.

What's included

• Assembly and story edit — finding the structure in the material before worrying about polish
• Pacing and rhythm — cutting to music or to breath, depending on what the piece is
• Sound — dialogue cleanup, levels, music bed, mix and loudness normalisation for each platform
• Titles and motion graphics — lower thirds, credits, simple animated type
• Colour correction and grading — see colour grading
• Platform versions — 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, plus cutdowns at whatever durations you need
• Delivery — masters and compressed exports, correctly encoded per destination

Sound is half the picture

Audiences forgive a soft shot far more readily than they forgive bad audio. Dialogue cleanup, a properly balanced music bed and correct loudness for each platform do more for perceived production value than almost anything you can do to the image — and they are consistently the first thing to get skipped.

Post-only workflow

You do not need to have shot with me. Send footage via Frame.io, Dropbox, Google Drive or a drive in the post, along with any brief, script or reference. First cut typically lands within seven to ten days depending on volume, with two revision rounds included.

Rushes are accepted as camera originals or as a rough assembly if you have already made a start and want it finished properly.

Turnaround

Short-form social pieces: three to five days. Brand films and music videos: seven to ten days. Documentary and long-form: quoted per project. Rush work is possible when flagged in the first conversation.
